Metric Travelling South Of The Border In Search Of Fantasies

How do you describe the un-imaginable, the aspects of life that you dream will come true, even if there is a shadow of a doubt lodged in your head that they may never come full circle? Fantasies became reality for Toronto, Canada's Metric. While trying to live their dreams for the past decade, it seems at this moment in time, cloud nine could not be any higher for the group. With an upcoming American tour, and a highly anticipated, fourth studio album Fantasies being released on April 14th, you could easily say that everything is falling into place just as planned. Stay tuned for an exclusive Pop Zap review of Fantasies within the next few weeks.

Back On The Prowl: Metallica Is Hitting The Road

They brought us fuel, they brought us fire, and now Metallica has truly brought their fans what they desired, another world tour. The Death Magnetic world tour kicked off March 28 in London, England and Metallica will be touring until the middle of December. All things considered, this tour is similar to previous Metallica tours, but nonetheless impressive for the legendary grouping of James, Lars, Kirk, Robert. Although there have been a few member changes in the past, they still manage to bring the rock every show. Be ready when tickets go on sale, they won't be available for long -- expect the clan of Metallica fans to snatch them up quickly.

Canada Welcomes Coldplay

After canceling tour dates earlier this year, 7 time Grammy award winners Coldplay are back to make amends with a four city stop in Canada amidst their busy European tour, to continue to promote their newest album Vida La Vida. It's hard to believe that with the success that they are currently running on, that Coldplay will be calling it quits in less than two years time. Like Michael Jordan, Coldplay is going out while a top of the game, let's just hope that when they make there comeback wearing the "4" "5", it lasts.

No Doubt Offering Fans Worthwhile Bonus For Catching Them On Tour

Recently reunited California ska-punk kids (sure, they aren't kids anymore, but if the reunion brings about as much nostalgia to you as it does to me, then No Doubt will still bring you back to the '90s) No Doubt have made an offer to their fans that has to be amongst the best ticket bonuses I've ever heard of.  Every person that purchases a ticket in the highest price range for any leg of No Doubt's summer tour will receive a free digital download of their entire discography.  Wow.

An Unhappy Valentines Message From Fight Like Apes

Until today, I hadn't heard of Ireland's Fight Like Apes, but that all changed when a nice little letter showed up in my email from them that included a fun little indie video for their song "Digifucker".  Aside from the brilliant name, the tune and vid is perfect for the romantic in all of us and greatly encapsulates the true meaning of Valentine's Day.

My new favourite band, perhaps?

Limp Bizkit Is Back: We All Kind Of Forgot They Had Left

So this is probably the most disturbing news that hit my desk this morning, the announcement that Limp Bizkit has reformed and are planning a tour, new album and all that. First Blink 182, now Limp Bizkit. What's next KoRn? oh wait they never broke up, and have been consistenly putting out records, good records.

For the younger generation or even the older who don't or choose not to remember how Limp the Bizkit really was, don't worry, it's a planned European tour, for now.

Chris Cornell Announces American Tour

America, Chris Cornell has heard you calling, and has decided to give you what you want, sort of. It's relatively clear to all of us that what we really want is for Cornell to be touring and playing nothing but Soundgarden and Audioslave tracks, however Cornell will begin touring in the spring to promote his latest album Scream produced by the one and only, Timbaland.
